Since 1993, Women’s Fund has invested in innovative programs that confront discrimination, promote leadership, foster economic security, and give women and girls the skills necessary to thrive. Women’s Fund has made more than 380 grants and remains the only grantmaker in Miami-Dade dedicated to funding gender-specific projects. Our grantmaking and technical assistance programs build capacity for organizations serving women and girls.
Community Grant Requirements:
- Programs must be female specific and serve women and girls living in Miami-Dade County.
- Work must take place from February to January.
- Grant requests submitted may not exceed $10,000. Grant awards range from $2,500 to $10,000.
- Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status, be a government or non-profit educational institution or have a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status managing its finances.
- One representative from the program must attend quarterly lunch meetings during the funding year.
- One representative from the program must attend an event in February 2012 to receive the grant.
- One (or more) representative(s) from the program must attend our annual luncheon on March 23, 2012 and present a visual display of the program at the event.
- One or two representatives from the program must be trained in our online grant evaluation tool, Making the Case. Interim and final reports must be submitted using Making the Case.

Women’s Fund Special Funding Initiative – Women of Color-Led Reproductive Justice Grants.
Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade has been selected as a funding partner of The Catalyst Fund at Groundswell Fund (formerly Tides Foundation) – a national program that will bring new funding to Reproductive Justice work led by women of color. Reproductive Justice includes the full spectrum of reproductive issues that impact women’s lives.
Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade awards these RJ Grants once a year to non-profit organizations that serve women and girls in Miami-Dade County that are committed to creating long-term social change for women and employ organizing .strategies to reach a targeted legislative goal. Organizations that are part of this initiative must be led by women of color.
If interested in our Women of Color-Led Reproductive Justice Grants you must have sent a letter of inquiry prior to August 25, 2011.

Organizations will be eligible for an award in only one category – either a Community Grant or a Reproductive Justice Grant but not both. You must select the one for which you choose to submit an application.
